Bringing a dildo on a carryon – Good idea?

I’m about to fly cross country and would like to take a couple sex toys for the hotel stay… is it a good idea to take a dildo in my carryon? I’m not taking much with me, so a carryon is all I’m taking. I guess I could check a bag if I needed to, but I’d prefer to just pack the dildo in my carry on bag and get on with life.

In general, it's fine, but don't expect to be discreet should they take issue with it. Remove the batteries, if it takes them, and hope for the best. They are not disallowed or banned in any way, but they may take a second look at your carryon if they do spot them, just out of suspicion.
A second issue does arise with gel/jelly dildos, considering gels are banned, but its difficult where the line is drawn. If it's the greatest dildo you've ever owned and you'd die if you lost it, take better care and leave it at home.
Don't take your best stuff travelling, its always more likely to be lost, stolen, damaged, or taken by TSA agents wanting to get off during break, so be careful! More information about flying with sex toys.
